An exciting vacancy has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company (EABSC) – Ethiopia for the position of Quality Controller. Key Purpose Statement
To ensure the consistent production of safe, compliant, and high-quality products by monitoring and controlling quality standards across manufacturing, laboratory, and supply chain processes while driving continuous improvement, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sample, analyze, and monitor product, packaging, and raw material quality to ensure all outputs meet CCBA standards and protect brand integrity.
Monitor and control quality in syrup-making, water treatment, and packaging processes to maintain stable operations and prevent supply disruptions.
Perform and oversee microbiological quality testing to safeguard consumer health and ensure product safety.
Monitor raw material quality and warehouse operations, ensuring inputs and storage conditions meet required standards.
Control the laboratory environment, manage consumables, and verify equipment accuracy to ensure reliable test results.
Comply with safety requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and quality management systems to minimize risks of product recalls and regulatory non-compliance.
Enter quality results into the quality management system daily, analyze trends, and report non-conformances to relevant internal stakeholders to support timely corrective action.
Communicate quality findings and trends to internal teams to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Educational Qualifications
First degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a related field of study.
Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
