Job Summary
We are seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with developers to validate new features, identify edge cases, and ensure the integrity of our data
Responsibilities
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all new features.
Perform end-to-end manual testing to ensure features meet business requirements and design specifications.
Measure and analyze QA data points like defect density and outstanding defect totals.
Validate backend data states using MongoDB.
Write and execute queries to ensure data is correctly stored, updated, and retrieved across the platform.
Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure that new code deployments do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Verify the communication between frontend and backend services using tools like Postman to test API endpoints.
Conduct basic performance testing to ensure the application remains stable and responsive under varying traffic levels.
Document and prioritize defects with clear "steps to reproduce," environment details, and logs. Collaborate with the development team to verify fixes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
4+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, and automated testing tools
Proficiency in programming languages, testing tools, and version control systems.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
Proficiency using Browser Developer Tools (Console, Network tab) to diagnose frontend errors.
Experience with Postman (API testing) and Jira/GitHub (issue tracking).
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
