Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the implementation, quality, and impact of assigned projects in alignment with the organization''s mandate and 10-year strategy. The role combines team leadership, operational planning, budget management, monitoring and evaluation, and stakeholder coordination with a strong focus on disability inclusion, community-based rehabilitation, and humanitarian action.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Implementation:
Oversee the execution of project activities in line with logical frameworks, allocated budgets, and institutional standards; steer intervention strategies and propose adjustments as needed.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
Embody organizational values, set individual performance objectives, monitor competencies, foster professional development, and ensure effective communication and conflict resolution.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL):
Ensure robust project monitoring against activity progress indicators and expected outcomes, develop evaluation plans, and implement accountability mechanisms for local stakeholders and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs).
Budget & Partnership Management:
Manage activity-specific budget lines under delegated authority, prepare and manage partnerships with implementing agencies, and ensure proper archiving of project data.
Coordination & Communication:
Facilitate internal coordination between project teams and support services, contribute to donor and internal reporting, and represent the organization in external networks and partner meetings.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Food Security, Social Sciences, Disability Studies, Humanitarian Action, International Development, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management and/or program implementation within humanitarian and development contexts.
Required Skills & Competencies
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder liaison capabilities, with proficiency in remote team management.
Fluent in English (knowledge of Amharic and Somali is an asset).
