Job Summary
The
Project Coordinator
will oversee the day-to-day coordination and effective implementation of the CSIF-supported Women-Led Organizations (WLO) Initiative. The role involves coordinating NEWA, its members, and partners to ensure project activities meet objectives, donor requirements, and organizational standards while strengthening WLO capacities and promoting women''s participation in governance and peacebuilding.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Implementation:
Coordinate overall day-to-day implementation of the CSIF project in line with approved workplans, budgets, and results frameworks while integrating gender equality and inclusion principles.
Capacity Strengthening:
Facilitate Organizational Capacity Assessments (OCAs) for selected women-led organizations and support tailored capacity-building plans.
Advocacy & Civic Engagement:
Drive evidence-based advocacy, policy dialogues, and initiatives that promote women''s participation in governance, peacebuilding, and decision-making.
Grants & Partner Support:
Coordinate grant activities, provide technical accompaniment to grant recipients, review narrative reports, and monitor expenditure with finance teams.
MEAL & Reporting:
Work with MEAL teams to track progress against indicators, collect project data, document success stories, and compile timely narrative and progress reports.
Risk & Stakeholder Management:
Maintain risk registers, ensure safeguarding compliance, and build effective relationships with government bodies, CSOs, and development partners.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Master''s degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Project Management, International Development, Peace and Conflict Studies, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of
7 years
of relevant project coordination or management experience within civil society, women''s rights, governance, or development programs.
Preference:
Experience with consortium arrangements and Ethiopia''s civil society sector.
Language Skills:
Excellent written and spoken fluency in both
English
and
Amharic
