About the Job
The Principal will provide strategic and instructional leadership for the whole school. You will be accountable for academic standards, staff performance, student wellbeing, financial management, and compliance with Cambridge International requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Set and communicate the school's vision, strategic plan, and annual goals
Lead and manage day-to-day school operations
Ensure teaching, learning, and assessment meet Cambridge standards
Oversee Cambridge examination entries, administration, and results analysis
Recruit, mentor, and appraise teaching and support staff, and promote continuous professional development
Use student performance data to raise achievement
Manage the school budget, admissions, and resources
Uphold safeguarding, discipline, and student welfare policies
Build strong relationships with parents, the board or owners, and the wider community
Maintain Cambridge accreditation and prepare the school for inspections and reviews
About You
Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject; a master's degree is preferred
Recognized teaching qualification (PGDT, B.Ed, or equivalent)
At least 8 years of teaching experience, including 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role
Thorough knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and examination system
Experience in an international or private school is an advantage
Proven record of improving academic outcomes and leading teams
