Job Summary

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the electric vehicle assembly plant, ensuring safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production of 2-wheel and 3-wheel electric vehicles. The A2 and 3-wheeler vehicle assembly plant manager directs all daily manufacturing operations, safety protocols, and quality control standards at a light-vehicle production facility. This leader oversees staff management, production schedules, supply chain coordination, and equipment maintenance to hit output goals efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct, and control overall plant operations while developing and implementing annual and monthly production plans.

Manage assembly operations for 2-wheel and 3-wheel electric vehicles to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.

Supervise production, technical, maintenance, warehouse, and quality activities, as well as develop and implement production SOPs, work instructions, and process controls.

Monitor production efficiency, productivity, material utilization, labor performance, and establish plant KPIs.

Ensure proper handling and installation of batteries, motors, controllers, chargers, wiring harnesses, and other EV components while coordinating with procurement and warehouse teams for CKD/SKD components.

Control production costs, waste, rework, and material losses, and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements, and lead the troubleshooting of production and technical problems.

Train, coach, and develop plant personnel, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, and coordinate with stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S/6S, and lean manufacturing practices.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

Education

BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

5 to 8 years working in a manufacturing plant, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in automotive, electric vehicle, vehicle assembly, machinery, or manufacturing plants is highly preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of production planning, maintenance, quality management, and plant operations, with knowledge of EV systems being an advantage.

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.

Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, vehicle assembly processes, and quick problem-solving abilities for machine breakdowns or labor shortages.
