Role Summary:
The Strategic Draught planning, analyses and logistics manager ensures a proper functioning of the draught department in full. Proper planning of Sales demand forecast and as well monitoring planning for maintenance, cleaning and installation of draft machines on deployed outlets and a Logistic operation which ensures proper functioning of the draught business with regards to product availability (in-full) at customers outlets and CO2 distribution plan. This requires coordinating all logistics inputs/resources that will deliver unique consumer experience. He analyses the current way of working for operations, sales and quality management and imposes changes for improvement to reach a maximum ROI.
Key Responsibility:
Design order processing instruments and simulate same before start-up.
Code all outlets in the first phase and draw up delivery plan.
Estimate number of kegs required for starting phase with trip time calculations and ensure availability at start-up
Design demand/supply template and agree communication with production and sales.
Prepare the product demand and communicate production team with a specific time interval.
Control and monitor all activities with regards to logistics and product delivery in the warehouses (Habesha owned warehouse for draft)
Determine supply strategy (Keg ownership, supply system- internal or outsourced)
Liaise with CO2 production companies for supply of CO2 to individual outlets. Sign necessary contracts
Coordinate the market development for new Outlets that are going to be prospected.
Evaluate the prospecting outlets with the standards and installation schedule.
Authorize delivery of kegs to the trade and empties back to the brewery.
Process orders and arrange prompt delivery
Manage delivery lead time to ensure that it is kept to the minimum
Control security documents to avoid stock-out or re-use.
Investigate and address reported cases of delivery variances
Use field visits to update information for optimal logistics service in the region
Determine keg injection plans at all times.
Monitor and control stock level to avoid stock out in the sales outlets
Transfer empty kegs to Debre Berhan as soon as they are received for sustained production
Receive stock, authorize their issues and ensure adequate documentation of stock movement transactions
Be the link between sales, production and distribution to manage keg flow within the system.
Ensure effective utilization of third party fleet and reduce turnaround time.
Maintain record of all registered transporters vehicles.
Draw attention of proprietors to observed lapses.
Supervise the third party fleet to ensure efficient and effective distribution objectives.
Evaluates with agent improvement areas for the total service level circle of Habesha + agent to draught outlets.
Will liaise with the company procurement team for all draught system operational purchases.
Manage the CO2 purchase/replenishment system network. This will require doing business with external CO2 suppliers and constantly optimizing supply to reduce cost along the chain.
Manage outsourcing contracts for CO2 supply, cleaning/ maintenance (where applicable) and other related services.
Will coordinate the prospecting outlets to be installed for draft operation.
Will forecast the area’ s of expansion and feasibility of the particular expansion with regards to demand and profitability, convenience and companies' capabilities.
Prepares the schedule for the installation of the newly prospected outlets with all the necessary tools, CAPEX & POS needed for the installation.
Prepares analysis with dashboards for sales, installations, maintenance, cleaning and different strategical ad hoc reports and analysis for management decision and for the department's own optimization usage.
Prepares Forecasts and strategical optimization plans for the draft department road map.
Create models that can show the status of the performance of the SKU and assets.
Evaluate the impact of the promotional activities on the sales trend.
Brings intelligence from the industry and analysis that can support the draft sales performance.
Create a tracking model for CO2 depletion and Keg circulation that can assist a smooth operation.
Provide further insight into the draft organization overall strategy by identifying critical questions performing ad-hoc analyses and revising the continuous business plan.
Understanding and presenting of market research and data analysis with regards to draft beer industry and competitors.
Prepare daily schedule for cleaning of draft machines on outlets where its installed.
Prepare unplanned schedule based on requests for cleaning and maintenance of draft machines.
Prepare a six-month maintenance schedule for draft machines based on installation and territory.
Prepares the procurement plan for daily operation of the draft department and for the expansion.
Follows up and monitors the progress of the procurement with the supply chain department.
Prepares all the necessary logistics for the items procured to reach the end user within the draft department once the items are in the warehouse.
Facilitates the proper and optimal circulation of CAPEX, Tools, POS, CO2 and smooth warehouse operations.
Comes proactively with advice which improves ROI.
Analyzes incentive schemes and advises on optimization internally and externally. (Habesha + agent)
Comes with optimization models for the Way of Working for the Draught Sales and Operations department.
Budget performance analyses and monitoring + providing budget updates weekly.
Creates and optimizes dashboards for Sales, Operations and Quality.
About You
BA degree in a business or any related field with 3 plus years of experience in a related field and several years in a leadership position.
