is seeking a qualified and experienced
Optician
to join our team and provide quality optical services and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense and fit spectacles and other optical products in accordance with prescriptions.
Assist patients in selecting suitable frames, lenses, and optical accessories.
Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fitting and adjustment of eyewear.
Provide patients with guidance on the use, care, and maintenance of their eyewear.
Perform repairs and adjustments to spectacles where required.
Maintain accurate patient and optical records.
Monitor and manage stock of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
Collaborate effectively with Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and infection prevention protocols.
Provide excellent customer service and address patients\'' optical concerns professionally.
Requirements
Degree, HND, or relevant qualification in
Dispensing Opticianry
or a related field.
Valid professional registration/license where applicable.
Previous experience working in a hospital, eye clinic, or optical practice is an advantage.
Good knowledge of optical lenses, frames, measurements, and fitting techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Proficiency in basic computer applications.
