Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to provide leadership, governance, and operational oversight across our regional, gateway, and local hub facilities.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing airline capacity allocation, regulatory compliance frameworks, multi-modal linehaul strategies, offload resolution, fleet maintenance, financial cargo audits, supply chain provisioning, and system-wide delivery performance (POD compliance) across all network branches.
Key Responsibilities
Capacity Strategy & Airline Governance:
Oversee commercial cargo capacity reservation protocols, manage air/surface carrier relationships, and resolve high-level transit capacity constraints.
Regulatory & Governance Oversight:
Establish governance frameworks for broadcasting customs/weight holds and direct executive escalations for offloaded cargo to minimize network delays.
Linehaul & Surface Transport Strategy:
Authorize third-party transport contracts, establish tariff controls, and enforce audit standards across overland dispatch logs and payment reconciliations.
Network SLA & Delivery Performance:
Drive regional on-time delivery, zero parcel damage, and zero hub backlog across all primary sorting and cross-dock hubs.
Fleet Utilization & Maintenance Governance:
Oversee national vehicle maintenance frameworks, review odometer tracking reports, and drive continuous reductions in cost-per-kilometer.
Financial Cargo Audit & Freight Control:
Validate freight payment audits per kilogram against local branch petty cash and establish controls to resolve financial discrepancies.
Supply Chain Provisioning:
Supervise supply chain distribution of operational materials and packaging consumables across central and regional branch clusters.
Digital Transformation & System Audits:
Enforce complete CMS scan compliance, telematics tracking, and mandate cluster CMS audits to guarantee 100% POD compliance.
Risk Management & SOP Enforcement:
Maintain operational risk registers, audit SOP adherence, and lead corrective action implementation across operational units.
About You
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
At least 2 years of direct experience in a courier / express logistics company.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in logistics operations, fleet management, linehaul planning, or hub operations management.
Proven track record in executive-level operational governance and multi-branch network supervision.
Skills & Competencies
In-depth expertise in courier/express operations, hub sorting processes, CMS/telematics tracking systems, and POD enforcement.
Strong knowledge of airline cargo capacity booking, linehaul strategy, and customs regulatory compliance.
Solid understanding of financial cargo auditing, freight control, and operational cost management.
Demonstrated leadership, vendor management, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
