JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure and accurately record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Provide basic patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Support patient mobility, positioning, and safe transfers, including the use of wheelchairs.
Observe patients and promptly report any changes in their condition to the registered nurse.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies in patient-care areas.
Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation.
Comply with infection prevention and control procedures and other hospital policies.
Perform other duties as may be assigned within the unit.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Possess a recognized Nursing Technician, Nursing Assistant, or Health Assistant certificate from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 1 year of
1-year relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting
is advantageous.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of patient care, medical terminology, and infection prevention and control.
Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a healthcare team.
Patience and empathy when dealing with sick or elderly patients.
Must reside in Lagos.
