Job Summary
Responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures safely and efficiently while ensuring patient safety, strict radiation protection, and equipment optimization. The role manages digital workflows across PACS, RIS, and ODOO systems, maintains rigorous infection prevention standards, and delivers exceptional, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Procedures:
Perform imaging examinations (X-ray, CT, MRI, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound support) with precise patient positioning and minimal repeat exposure.
Patient Care & Safety:
Prepare patients, explain procedures, monitor conditions during exams, ensure privacy and comfort, and respond effectively to emergency situations.
Radiation Safety & Infection Control:
Adhere strictly to ALARA principles, radiation protection standards, shielding practices, and medical waste disposal protocols while maintaining clean facilities.
Equipment & Resource Management:
Operate imaging machinery safely, conduct routine checks, report malfunctions promptly, and minimize consumable and contrast media wastage.
Workflow & Data Management:
Accurately register patients, document procedures, upload studies into PACS, and monitor real-time queues via RIS/ODOO systems.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Radiologic Technology / Medical Imaging Technology.
Experience
Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in diagnostic imaging (advanced modality experience in MRI, CT, or Mammography is an advantage).
Licensure:
Valid professional MRT license/certification.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong technical mastery of imaging equipment, radiation safety, and digital healthcare software, paired with compassionate, patient-centered care.
Fluency in Somali is advantageous.
