About the Job
Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair construction machinery and heavy equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related equipment faults.
Service and repair diesel engines, transmissions, gearboxes, braking systems, steering systems, and cooling systems.
Inspect and maintain hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves, and other hydraulic components.
Maintain and repair equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, rollers, forklifts, cranes, and other construction machinery.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical failures.
Replace or repair defective components, worn parts, and damaged assemblies.
Report major defects, recurring breakdowns, and additional repair requirements to the immediate supervisor.
Perform oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, adjustments, and other routine servicing activities.
About You
Diploma / Level IV/TVET certificate, in Heavy Duty Machinery Maintenance, Auto Mechanic, or BSC Degree Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in maintaining and repairing construction machinery or heavy equipment.
Additional training or certification in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, or heavy equipment maintenance is an advantage.
Experience servicing excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, rollers, or similar heavy equipment is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of diesel engine operation, maintenance, and repair.
Practical skills in diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
Ability to inspect, dismantle, repair, and assemble mechanical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and mechanical drawings.
