KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Microfinance Bank.
Develop and implement business strategies, annual plans, and growth initiatives.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition, and market expansion.
Oversee lending and credit operations, ensuring a healthy and sustainable loan portfolio.
Develop strategies for effective loan recovery and management of non-performing loans.
Ensure effective risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance.
Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, relevant laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor the Bank’s financial performance, liquidity, capital position, and key performance indicators.
Lead the development and implementation of products and services that meet customers’ needs.
Oversee operational efficiency and ensure excellent customer service delivery.
Establish performance targets and ensure accountability across all departments.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team.
Identify business risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Promote a strong culture of integrity, accountability, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
Represent the institution at industry, regulatory, and stakeholder engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master’s Degree or relevant professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or MBA will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in banking, microfinance, financial services, or a related sector.
At least 10 years in senior management/leadership roles, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
Strong understanding of microfinance banking, credit, risk management, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
Strong knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements and the Nigerian financial services environment.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and team leadership.
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and corporate governance awareness.
