Job Summary
Fahem General Trading PLC is a premier dual-sector supplier specializing in critical agricultural inputs and coffee value chain operations. To strengthen our regional operations, optimize production, and ensure the highest standards of coffee processing, we are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and strategic Managing Director to lead our Jimma & Surrounding Area Coordination Office.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership:
Oversee, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of Jimma coordination office, aligning regional activities with corporate strategic goals.
Site & Huller Management:
Direct, supervise, and control all dedicated coffee farm sites and coffee hulling/processing stations within Jimma and its surroundings.
Productivity & Quality Control:
Implement robust agricultural and processing management practices to maximize yield and export markets, enhance coffee quality, and minimize post-harvest losses.
Team Coordination:
Lead, mentor, and evaluate regional field managers, washing/hulling station supervisors, and administrative staff to foster a high-performance workspace.
Reporting & Compliance:
Coordinate fluidly with the Addis Ababa headquarters, providing regular operational updates, financial forecasts, and compliance reports regarding operational activities in an strategic manner.
Education
BSc or master''s degree in Agricultural Economics, Plant Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or a closely related agricultural/business fields.
Experience
10 years of proven management or leadership experience within the coffee sector, specifically overseeing large-scale coffee farm sites, Coffee processing stations, or hulling operations with 4-6 years of leadership level.
Technical & Soft Skills
Hard Skills:
Strong knowledge of coffee agronomy, processing techniques (wet and dry methods), quality grading, and supply chain logistics.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, decision-making, and structural problem-solving abilities, with an innate capacity to manage diverse field teams and field operational challenges.
