Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, electrical systems, and other technical installations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The successful candidate will support routine and preventive maintenance activities, identify technical faults, and respond promptly to maintenance requests in accordance with the Bank's operational procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections of equipment, electrical systems, and technical installations to identify faults and prevent breakdowns.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to established maintenance schedules.
Diagnose technical problems and perform necessary repairs on equipment and installations within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Inspect electrical components, wiring, switches, lighting systems, and other related installations where qualified and authorized.
Monitor the condition and performance of equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and report unresolved technical issues to the immediate supervisor.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment and technical systems as assigned.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, repairs, and spare parts used.
Ensure that tools, equipment, and maintenance materials are properly handled, stored, and maintained.
Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when performing maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with other technical staff and relevant departments to minimize operational disruptions.
Report safety hazards, equipment failures, and other maintenance concerns to the responsible supervisor.
Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Level IV, 10+3, or Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution in General Technician, Electronics, or another related field.
Experience
At least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
Technical Knowledge:
Basic understanding of maintenance procedures, technical systems, equipment inspection, and troubleshooting.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify technical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to conduct careful inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of workplace safety practices and the ability to follow established maintenance procedures.
Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
Time Management:
Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to urgent technical issues promptly.
