Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Loading Supervisor to oversee and coordinate loading operations, ensuring that products / materials are loaded safely, accurately, and efficiently.
The successful candidate will supervise loading personnel, coordinate vehicle loading schedules, ensure compliance with safety procedures, verify quantities and documentation, and minimize loading errors, delays, and product losses.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily loading activities and loading personnel.
Ensure trucks and other vehicles are loaded safely, accurately, and according to approved procedures.
Verify product quantities, specifications, and loading instructions before dispatch.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, transport, and security teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor loading schedules and ensure vehicles are dispatched within agreed timelines.
Conduct checks to prevent product shortages, overloading, damages, and loading errors.
Ensure proper handling of products during loading to minimize losses and damage.
Enforce company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies during loading operations.
Inspect loading areas and ensure they remain clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
Supervise the use and proper handling of loading equipment.
Maintain accurate loading records, checklists, and dispatch documentation.
Report loading discrepancies, incidents, damages, and operational challenges to management.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Train, guide, and discipline loading staff where necessary.
Monitor staff attendance, productivity, and adherence to operational procedures.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
OND, HND, or Bachelor''s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of relevant experience in loading, warehouse, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations.
Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Good knowledge of loading, dispatch, warehouse, and inventory procedures.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to supervise and coordinate a team effectively.
Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Proficiency in basic documentation and reporting; computer literacy is an advantage.
Relevant technical qualifications, HSE certifications, or logistics-related certifications will be an added advantage.
