Job Purpose / Mission
The Line Operator / Warehouse Driver role is to ensure the safe, timely and cost-effective movement of products, inventory and operational materials between the warehouse, Service Centres and other approved locations, while maintaining product custody, accurate delivery documentation, vehicle compliance and required safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation and Delivery:
Safely transport products, inventory and operational materials to approved Service Centres, warehouses and other business locations.
Execute scheduled primary, secondary and inter-location stock movements.
Follow approved routes and delivery schedules and communicate delays or exceptions promptly.
Support urgent operational movements where duly approved.
Loading, Offloading and Product Handling:
Support the loading and offloading of products and materials.
Verify quantities and product condition before departure and at the point of delivery.
Ensure products are properly arranged and secured to minimize transit damage.
Immediately report damaged, missing, excess or wrongly dispatched products.
Inventory Custody and Documentation:
Maintain traceability of items collected from Service Centres or other locations.
Verify waybills, stock transfer documents and other dispatch documentation before departure.
Obtain appropriate proof of delivery (POD) and ensure completed documents are returned promptly.
Ensure that no unauthorized products, materials or passengers are carried in company vehicles.
Reverse Logistics:
Support the collection and return of defective products, swap units, refurbishment stock, empty packaging and other approved returns.
Ensure returned products are properly documented, secured and handed over to the designated receiving team.
Maintain traceability of items collected from Service Centres or other locations.
Vehicle Management:
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Monitor tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, fuel and other basic vehicle conditions.
Maintain accurate mileage, fuel, trip and vehicle-use records.
Report vehicle faults promptly and ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
Keep assigned vehicles clean, secure and in roadworthy condition.
Safety, Security and Compliance:
Comply with company HSE, road-safety, security and fleet-management procedures.
Observe speed limits, traffic regulations and approved driving standards.
Immediately escalate road-security concerns, accidents, breakdowns or other incidents.
Protect company products, vehicles and other assets while in transit.
Use required safety equipment and comply with loading and handling procedures.
Operational Support:
Assist the Logistics and Warehouse teams with product movement and staging when not engaged in deliveries.
Support stock counts and physical verification where required.
Support stock reshuffling and approved Service Centre-to-Service Centre transfers.
Maintain professional conduct when interacting with Service Centres, customers, agents, transport partners and other stakeholders.

Zero inventory loss while products are in assigned custody.
Transit damage rate.
Vehicle availability and preventive maintenance compliance.
Fuel and mileage efficiency.

Compliance with approved routes, trip schedules and logistics procedures.
Qualifications
SSCE, OND, HND qualification
Relevant professional license and certifications.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related.
