MAIN FUNCTIONS
Lead and coordinate QA/QC activities across assigned projects, facilities, or work scopes.
Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved
Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, specifications, and applicable standards
.
Provide quality support to engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, maintenance, and commissioning teams.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements.
Conduct quality inspections, audits, surveillance, and assessments.
Review and approve quality documentation and inspection records.
Identify quality deficiencies, non-conformances, and potential risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate inspection activities with clients, contractors, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
Monitor material and equipment quality from procurement through delivery, installation, and commissioning.
Support quality improvement initiatives and promote a strong quality culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement project-specific
QA/QC plans and procedures
.
Review
Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and inspection reports
.
Monitor welding, fabrication, piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation quality activities as applicable.
Ensure required inspections and tests are completed and properly documented.
Manage
Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and punch-list items
.
Verify that corrective and preventive actions are effectively closed.
Conduct contractor quality audits and performance assessments.
Review quality dossiers and ensure proper compilation of project turnover documentation.
Monitor calibration and certification of inspection and testing equipment.
Participate in project quality meetings, audits, inspections, and management reviews.
Prepare quality reports, statistics, and performance indicators for management.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to QA/QC personnel and project teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor''s degree or HND in
Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline
.
Significant experience in
QA/QC within the oil & gas, EPC, construction, fabrication, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial sector
.
Relevant professional certifications such as
ASQ, CQI/IRCA, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP, AWS, NDT certification
, or equivalent are advantageous depending on the discipline.
Strong knowledge of
Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001, ITPs, NCR management, audits, inspection, and testing
.
Experience managing contractor and subcontractor quality performance.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements.
Strong leadership, coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams and site environments.
