About the Role
We''re hiring a commercially minded Key Account & Sales Executive to manage, retain, and grow an assigned portfolio of existing distributors, supermarkets, wholesalers, and retailers. This is not a cold-calling role — the focus is on keeping accounts active, profitable, well-serviced, and paying on time, while growing the business within each one.
Responsibilities
Relationship management:
Own the day-to-day relationship with assigned accounts. Conduct regular visits, understand each customer''s buying and payment patterns, and resolve enquiries and complaints promptly.
Account growth:
Increase order size and frequency, secure listings for additional SKUs, cross-sell into unstocked product lines, expand into additional branches, and reactivate declining accounts.
Collections:
Track invoices, credit terms, and due dates. Follow up professionally before and after due dates, secure payment commitments, escalate overdue balances, and reconcile with Finance.
Order coordination:
Take orders and see them through delivery, invoicing, and collection. Resolve shortages, pricing errors, returns, and delivery issues with internal teams.
Retail execution:
Monitor stock levels, prevent stock-outs, improve shelf space and visibility, and support promotions and launches.
Market intelligence:
Report competitor pricing, promotions, and shifts in customer buying behaviour.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate account records and submit regular reports on sales, collections, receivables, growth, and account issues.
