Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Backend & Database Engineer to support backend development and database management activities. The ideal candidate is a fresh graduate or entry-level professional with a strong foundation in software engineering, relational database design, PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and backend development using Python or Node.js. Candidates should demonstrate practical technical skills through academic projects, personal projects, or a portfolio showcasing their ability to develop and manage database-driven applications.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications using Python or Node.js.
Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of relational databases using PostgreSQL.
Write, test, and optimize SQL queries to improve database performance and efficiency.
Assist in implementing database models and maintaining data integrity and consistency.
Collaborate with other developers to integrate backend services with databases and application components.
Use Git for version control, code management, and collaboration.
Participate in debugging, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of backend systems.
Educational Qualifications
Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
Work Experience
Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant work experience.
Must have a strong academic or personal project portfolio demonstrating practical experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, and backend development using Python or Node.js.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficient understanding of relational database models and database design principles.
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization.
Foundational backend development skills using Python or Node.js.
Proficiency in Git version control.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop technical skills.
