Job Summary
The IT Support Officer is responsible for IT infrastructures proactive monitoring and provides Desktop support, LAN/Wireless connectivity, Endpoint vulnerability & Patch Management, Printer services, quick provisioning of systems.
The role also includes support services for other infrastructural platforms as stipulated by the IT Manager.
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Provides helpdesk support duties to all users in the company including installation and configuration of desktops and laptops.
Ensures the daily / monthly backup of data in all INQ offices including Abuja and Port Harcourt and liaising with the IT Contact personnel in each of the offices on all IT related issues.
Provides required IT-support which includes but not limited to Windows Operating Systems and Server Applications, w/ RAID 1 & 5 etc.
Troubleshoot and resolve of LAN/Wireless issues and uptime availability of network printers.
Installs or modifies existing installations of networked computer hardware, software, and other components.
Ensuring that the firewall security aspect of the IT overall security implementation is maintained and functional.
Monitoring of IT NetBoz EMS in all our Data center and Camera Surveillance system uptime.
Remote access support and system security update across all of hardware and software platforms.
Work with internal customers to activate services; and assist with problem resolution as required.
IT inventory tracking and management.
On-call and after-hours support
Requirements
Education, qualifications and special training: BSc / HND Computer Science / Engineering
MCSE / MCP / CCNA / CCNP Experience: Helpdesk services System & Network Administration Network security System administration and support.
Communication & Work Relationships:
Internal: The role will involve interfacing and communication with all stakeholders on a regular basis.
Other Business Units: All Departments.
