Job Summary
The IT Support Officer is responsible for providing technical support to users, maintaining computer systems and networks, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support to employees.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues.
Set up user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and security measures.
Respond to helpdesk requests and resolve issues within agreed timelines.
Support onboarding activities by preparing laptops, user accounts, and required IT equipment for new employees.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support activities.
Assist with software updates, backups, and system upgrades.
Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support when necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor''s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1-3 years of IT support experience.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and hardware troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Active Directory and user account administration.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
