We are looking We are seeking an experienced, innovative iOS Engineer II, passionate about building secure, scalable, user-centric mobile financial solutions.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality iOS applications that support digital banking, payments, and other financial services.
Working closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will support the technical direction of our mobile platform while ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities
What will you do:
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance iOS applications that support digital financial products, including payments, banking, lending, savings, and investment solutions.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to deliver seamless and customer-centric mobile experiences.
Build and enhance mobile applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex financial processes and improve customer engagement.
Integrate iOS applications with RESTful APIs, payment gateways, financial services platforms, and third-party solutions.
Implement robust security controls, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data storage to protect customer information and financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational security policies related to financial services.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, production incidents, and performance issues while minimizing customer impact.
Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing frameworks to ensure application quality and stability.
Contribute to mobile architecture decisions, technical design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay informed on emerging iOS technologies, FinTech trends, security practices, and Apple platform updates to drive innovation.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
5 years building mobile apps in fintech or a regulated environment preferred
Strong proficiency in Swift, iOS SDK, and native iOS development.
Experience with mobile application architecture and design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
Knowledge of FinTech products, payment systems, and digital wallet integrations.
Expertise in secure coding, authentication, and mobile security best practices.
Strong skills in API integration and backend service connectivity.
Ability to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, App Store releases, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Regulatory Considerations:
Implements mobile-application controls aligned with PCI-DSS mobile-payment requirements.
Ensures app data handling and permissions comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
