Job Summary
The Investment Associate oversees the financial monitoring and reporting of minority shareholding investments while playing a key role in developing new investment projects. The position ensures rigorous financial modeling, compliance with IFRS standards, and timely performance reporting, alongside identifying financial, liquidity, and covenant risks to guide strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Support investment decisions and project execution through financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and preparation of investment materials.
Oversee financial reporting and performance monitoring of minority shareholding investments, reviewing consolidated financial statements.
Ensure accurate recording of dividends, impairments, and fair value adjustments while conducting variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
Establish financial controls, coordinate audits, and ensure tax compliance across portfolio investments.
Engage with investee management to assess capital structure, liquidity, funding needs, and operational KPIs, recommending value-creation initiatives.
Develop portfolio analytics, dashboards, and contribute to capital allocation and thematic investment strategies.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor''s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s Degree in Finance, Investment, Economics, or MBA is an added advantage).
Experience
Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, portfolio management, transaction advisory, or a related field.
