ROLE SUMMARY
To support plant safety activities including workplace safety controls, PPE compliance, work permits, safety training, incident reporting and emergency preparedness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To maintain safety in working area. To ensure for machine guarding & general area guarding.
To ensure that personnel working in the plant practice good sanitation, hygiene & always use personal protective equipments.
To ensure earthing connectivity. To ensure workmen is using earthing during flammable material handling.
Hot work permit and vessel entry permit recommendations. To give training to all employees on safety. To give training to plant personnel on critical process parameters, material handling, MSDS for all chemicals.
To release work permits for any project / maintenance activity likely to affect safety of the operations and plant. To ensure that incident/accidents/near miss get reported to safety department. To create safety awareness among all the employees.
To conduct mock drill. To ensure refilling of fire extinguisher as per schedule. To provide personal protective equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
B.Sc./HND with certification in HSE Level 3/ISPON.
5-8 years of HSE experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical, or process manufacturing environment.
