Job Summary
The Health and Safety Manager will lead health and safety activities across construction projects, ensuring effective implementation of HSE plans, risk assessments, safety procedures, and compliance requirements. The role will oversee safety inspections, incident investigations, contractor safety, employee training, emergency preparedness, and safety performance reporting while promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead safety inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification across construction sites.
Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans, procedures, and safety programs.
Monitor compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company requirements.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE.
Prepare safety reports, statistics, and performance updates for management.
Support emergency preparedness and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Promote a strong safety culture across all construction projects.
Guide and mentor Safety Officers and junior safety professionals.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience
, preferably in construction or real estate development.
Experience in construction site safety management, risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE compliance.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
