ASEC SECURITY LTD is a growing private security company headquartered in Sangotedo, Lagos, providing professional security services to businesses, residential developments and other organizations.
THE ROLE
ASEC SECURITY LTD is seeking an experienced retired or former officer of the Department of State Services (DSS) or a similarly experienced senior security professional to lead and strengthen the company''s security operations.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for operational command, personnel discipline, training, deployment, security assessments, client-site operations and the continued development of ASEC''s operational structure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Security Operations will:
Lead and coordinate ASEC''s security operations across all client locations.
Supervise Commanders, Supervisors and Security Personnel.
Establish and enforce operational standards, procedures and discipline.
Develop security deployment plans for client locations.
Conduct security surveys, threat assessments and vulnerability assessments.
Oversee recruitment, screening and operational assessment of security personnel.
Develop and supervise continuous training programmes for ASEC personnel.
Conduct routine and unscheduled inspections of deployment locations.
Ensure effective day and night patrol supervision.
Establish professional incident-reporting and escalation procedures.
Investigate security incidents and recommend corrective measures.
Maintain appropriate operational records and reports.
Advise the Director on security risks, operational requirements and strategic improvements.
Participate in client meetings and provide professional security recommendations where required.
Help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Post Orders, Emergency Response Procedures and other operational manuals.
Build a strong culture of integrity, professionalism, vigilance and accountability throughout the organization.
Ensure that all operations remain within applicable Nigerian laws, regulations and company policies.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate should:
Be a retired or former DSS officer, preferably with substantial operational, protective security, intelligence, investigation, training or command experience.
Have significant professional security experience and demonstrable leadership responsibility.
Possess strong knowledge of physical security, personnel management, security operations, risk assessment and incident management.
Have experience managing and training security personnel.
Demonstrate excellent judgment, integrity and discretion.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Be capable of producing professional security reports and operational recommendations.
Have the ability to establish discipline without compromising professionalism and respect.
Be physically and mentally capable of supervising field operations.
Be resident in Lagos or willing to work primarily in Lagos.
Experience in the private security industry following public service will be an added advantage.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Head of Security Operations will report directly to the Director of ASEC SECURITY LTD and will have operational authority over the company''s security command structure.
REMUNERATION
Competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications and the responsibilities of the position.
Final remuneration and benefits will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Salary: N200,000-N300,000 (with benefits)
