Job Summary
The Head of Finance operates under the supervision of the Head of School and the Head of School Operations and is responsible for providing sound financial management advice and overseeing all financial matters, including the development and management of the School''s budget, loans and investments, and the management of receipts and payments.
The successful candidate is expected to maintain a positive and professional approach in dealings with stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of the school.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor''s degree (or its equivalent), preferably in an Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics or Mathematics major.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, ICAN)
Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Proven experience in Asset Management, Asset Tagging, Accounts reconciliation and Inventory management (consumables).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
