We are seeking a
compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Geriatric Matron
to oversee the care and well-being of elderly patients/residents and ensure high standards of nursing care and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily care of elderly patients/residents.
Develop and implement appropriate care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Monitor patients’ health, medication, nutrition, hygiene, and overall well-being.
Supervise and guide nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
Maintain accurate patient records and care documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and healthcare standards.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patients’ conditions.
Promote dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life for elderly patients.
Address and report concerns relating to patient care and staff performance.
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) qualification is required.
Additional qualification or experience in
geriatric nursing/elderly care
is an advantage.
Minimum of 6
years’ relevant nursing experience
, preferably in geriatric or long-term care.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and emotionally mature.
Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
