Key Responsibilities
Monitor hot-work areas for ignition sources, sparks, smoke and unsafe conditions.
Maintain required firefighting equipment and emergency access within the work area.
Continuously monitor designated areas during and after hot work as required.
Stop or escalate unsafe activities in accordance with site authority and procedures.
Participate in toolbox talks, emergency drills and safety observations.
Record fire-watch activities and report incidents or near misses.
Skills & Competencies
Fire-watch/site-safety training
Basic firefighting and emergency-response knowledge
Strong observation and communication skills
Ability to remain alert for extended periods
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant degree, HND, OND, trade qualification or recognized professional certification appropriate to the discipline and level.
Relevant industrial, construction, oil & gas, marine or project experience is preferred.
Role-specific statutory, technical, offshore, safety or professional certifications shall be provided where required by the client, site or applicable standards.
