Qoray Mobility & Energies Limited (QMEL) is a clean energy and sustainable mobility company building solutions across electric vehicles, charging and battery-swapping infrastructure, renewable energy and mobility services.
Originally incubated within Sterling Bank, Qoray has now spun out as an independent business and is at an important stage of building the systems, processes and infrastructure required to support its next phase of growth. As Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in strengthening Qoray’s finance function — owning the numbers, establishing robust financial controls and reporting, and giving leadership the financial visibility and insight needed to make sound decisions as the business grows.
Responsibilities
Own monthly close and deliver accurate management accounts on a tight calendar
Build and maintain a live cash flow forecast and working capital dashboard
Establish inventory, asset and cost controls across vehicles, batteries and equipment
Model unit economics and profitability across our client''s mobility and energy business lines
Partner with Operations, Commercial and Procurement to embed financial discipline
Prepare financial reporting and analysis for investors, lenders and leadership
Requirements
5-8 years of experience
End-to-end financial control
Monthly close and management accounts
Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
Financial modelling
Budgeting and variance analysis
Inventory and asset controls
Tax and statutory compliance
Unit economics and profitability analysis
Management accounts and month-end close
Financial modelling and unit economics
Inventory, asset and cost tracking
Accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, SAP)
ERP or operational finance systems
Preferred Qualifications
Asset or fleet financing
FX and cross-border transactions
Fundraising and financial due diligence support
Multi-business-line financial reporting
