Responsibilities
Financial Data & Cost Optimization: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization, enhancing financial decision-making.
General Ledger Accuracy: Analyze expenses and cost transactions, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately in the appropriate cost center and general ledger.
Budget Tracking & Variance Analysis: Monitor and report on actual costs versus budgeted costs, accurately identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain budget integrity.
Inventory Control & Audit: Participate in month-end stock count activities to verify physical assets and align inventory with financial balances.
Budgetary Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing departmental budgets, ensuring precision and compliance with company policies, which improved budget accuracy.
Cost-Saving Strategies: Contribute to developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives, including process improvements and supplier negotiations, resulting in measurable cost reductions.
Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including detailed cost analyses and actionable recommendations for cost reduction to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations and management, to ensure alignment and enhance cost management practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
HND or Bachelor''s Degree in Banking and Finance or Accounting.
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with knowledge of financial principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
