Manager

Financial Planning & Reporting
Support in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and expenditure monitoring across projects and shared cost centres, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Support the implementation and continued improvement of the organization’s ERP based financial management system (S4GIZ), ensuring data accuracy, smooth transition of processes and staff readiness.
Prepare transparent financial reports, forecasts and management dashboards to support evidence-based decision-making.
Support the allocation and distribution of personnel costs, shared services and other common costs across projects, ensuring fair, transparent and properly documented cost-sharing arrangements
Budget Advisory & Compliance
Advise Project Managers, programme teams and senior management on budget utilization, reallocations, forecasting and donor compliance.
Ensure that financial, procurement and contractual processes comply with organizational policies, applicable procurement rules, local regulations and donor (BMZ, EU, Gates Foundation) rules
.
Review contracts, grants and related financial documentation for completeness, accuracy, compliance and audit readiness before approval/signature.
Monitor budget utilization, commitments, receivables, payables and other financial obligations through the organization’s financial management system, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
Monitor the cluster’s consultancy expenditure and appliable budget limits and provide monthly updates to the Senior Finance Manager.
Grant & Financial Monitoring
Financial monitoring of grants, financing agreements and other partner funding arrangements across the portfolio, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with contractual requirements.
Review partner financial reports and follow up with finance teams and implementing partners on the utilization of funds, outstanding balances and required corrective actions.
Strengthen staff capacity in grant monitoring, financial reporting and the use of digital financial management tools.
Shared Cost & Internal Cost Allocation Management
Implementation and oversight of shared cost allocation and internal cost management mechanisms, ensuring alignment with the organization’s ERP (S4GIZ) and financial workflows.
Provide guidance and coaching to relevant staff and ensure the accuracy and consistency of cost-allocation data.
Monitor the use and effectiveness of cost-allocation tools and processes, and recommend improvements where required.
Liaise with relevant central and country-level functions, including Finance, Controlling and Human Resources, to ensure consistent application of cost-allocation principles and reporting requirements.
Audit & Internal Controls
Liaise internal and external audits, ensure the quality and completeness of supporting documentation, and follow up on audit findings and recommendations.
Maintain continuous audit readiness of financial and digital records.
Strengthen internal controls and support the implementation of corrective measures arising from audits, reviews or compliance assessments.
Capacity Development & Collaboration
Organize and facilitate training for Finance, Administration and technical teams on financial management systems, cost allocations and organizational policies and procedures, grants management and financial compliance.
Provide ongoing coaching and technical support to staff on financial processes and digital tools.
Promote collaboration with central functions, country-level teams and other programmes to improve efficiency, consistency and digital transformation.

About You
Atleast Masters degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field
Atleast 05 years of working experience in the field of financial management & essential knowledge of procurement and contracting.
Working experience in the bundled structure will be preferrable
Experience in managing co-financed projects (especially EU funded projects) and knowledge of administrative processes involving third-party funders, is a plus
Additional competences
Strong communication skills and a high level of cultural empathy
Ability to work effectively in a team and handle high-pressure situations with respect, credibility, and confidence.
Proficiency in common MS Office programs; familiarity with SAP
Fluent in English
