The finance assistant will provide support the clerical financial support for the program team. S/he will be responsible for maintaining the financial documents, handle banking transactions , scanning, photocopying , referencing, facilitate payment preparation and check/letters signing and perform other financial and administrative issues.

Maintain and organize paper and digital document archives for quick retrieval during audits or reconciliations.

Label and store monthly transaction documents, box files, and financial records systematically.

Scan, Copy, and archive financial documents, filings, and bank statements according to organizational standards.

Handle and managing Bank transfers.

Handle routine banking tasks, including depositing cash/checks, delivering bank letters, and collecting bank statements and Bank advice on time.

Collect all bank transfer advice and filling in the corresponding financial documents.

Assist with tracking vendor invoices and bank advice

Respond to basic routine requests regarding Bank transfers from internal staff and external vendors regarding payment statuses.

Retrieve files and supporting vouchers for internal or external audit

Perform general clerical tasks such as photocopying, printing, binding, and scanning

Organize and filing financial documents on monthly basis

Responsible for follow-up all payment processing workflows and maintaining direct communication with banking partners to prevent transfer delays.

Required Skills and Experience:

Degree Accounting, Management, Business Administration, or related field with at least 0-2 years of experience

Excellent communication and computer skills

Experience working with International NGOs and donors such as DOS is preferred

Fluency in English and Amharic is required

Ability and willingness to travel.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft packages.

Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently
