We are seeking a hardworking, honest and reliable Farm Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Daily feeding, watering and care of livestock (pigs)
Cleaning and disinfection of pens and farm surroundings
Monitoring animal health, growth and behaviour - reporting any sickness immediately
Assisting with vaccination, weighing and sorting of animals
Maintaining accurate records of feed, stock, mortality and daily activities
Assisting with loading/offloading of feed, day-old chicks and farm inputs
Ensuring strict farm hygiene,
biosecurity and safety procedures are followed at all times
General farm maintenance duties as assigned by the Farm Manager
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE. OND/NCE in Animal Health, Agric Science is an added advantage
1-2 years experience in a poultry or piggery farm is preferred (freshers with passion can apply)
Must be physically fit, able to work with animals and not afraid of dirty work
Must be honest, punctual, teachable and resident in Yenagoa or willing to relocate
Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays
