The Driver is responsible for operating EHA Clinics’ motor vehicles. S/he is responsible for safely and responsibly performing all official travel using official vehicles, regularly servicing and looking after official vehicles while taking account of all available information on road conditions, accessible routes and locations. S/he would run official errands and assist with other office assignments.
Duties And Responsibilities
PURPOSE
Ensure compliance with company regulations and established internal policies and guidelines.
Transport employees and other individuals as directed in a safe and responsible manner.
Shuttle transportation for campaigns, driving patients in an ambulance, projects, airports, and distribution runs.
ENGAGEMENT
Report all safety, security, and driving incidents to the supervisor immediately, where possible. Present a professional demeanor at all times and approach others in a tactful manner.
Maintain a professional and friendly approach to management, supervisors, and colleagues.
Greets individuals warmly.
DELIVERY
Maintain schedules of pick-up and drop-off assignments. Ensure that all relevant notification procedures are followed during absence from work. Frequently travel between company worksites.
Ensure vehicles are in a proper and safe condition prior to use. Reports any damages or mechanical malfunctions and provides recommendations for repairs. Keep assigned vehicles clean, free from damage, and in acceptable condition consistently.
Ensure routine check-up of vehicles and comply with relevant laws and company policies regarding the use of mobile phones, smoking in company vehicles, and/or the use of prohibited equipment whilst on duty.
Targeted Specialized Knowledge
Proficiency in (specify) essential to understanding written and spoken instruction.
Knowledge of basic automobile repair and maintenance;
Some prior experience as a Chauffer, good knowledge of local streets and primary destinations;
Completion of Secondary School; Certificates/Licenses for vehicle operation
