Job Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate 2D layouts and 3D CAD models, converting technical concepts and sketches into detailed construction and shop drawings, and maintaining organized project documentation. The role requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, spatial reasoning, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Create clear, accurate 2D layouts and 3D CAD models (architectural, structural, mechanical, or electrical) using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
Modify existing drawings based on redlines, field measurements, engineer feedback, or client request changes.
Convert engineers’ and architects’ sketches, notes, and specification sheets into working construction documents and shop drawings.
Maintain organized digital drawing files, version-control logs, and project documentation for historical reference.
Review all drafts to ensure strict adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and internal company standards.
Minimum Qualification
Diploma in Drafting, CAD Technology, Architecture or related field.
Work Experience
Entry-Level / Fresh Graduates (0 years of experience).
Essential Skills
Advanced skills in 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Micro Station) and MS Office.
Solid understanding of drafting standards, spatial geometry, building codes, and construction methods.
Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional precision with dimensions, scale, and technical specs.
Spatial Reasoning:
Ability to visualize 3D structures from 2D sketches or data.
Problem-Solving:
Quick identification of design clashes or structural inconsistencies prior to site execution.
Time Management:
Ability to manage tight deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
