Job Summary
The Dispatch Rider is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of blood and blood products to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
The role requires a responsible, reliable, and technology-savvy individual who can navigate Lagos efficiently and handle blood deliveries with care and urgency.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a motorcycle to deliver blood and blood products to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
Ensure all blood deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and within the required timelines.
Handle and transport blood products in accordance with Company procedures and safety requirements.
Ensure blood products are properly secured and maintained under the required conditions during transportation.
Confirm delivery details and obtain proof of delivery where required.
Use mobile applications for dispatch updates, navigation, route tracking, and delivery confirmation.
Conduct basic motorcycle checks before and after trips and promptly report any faults or maintenance needs.
Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned motorcycle and delivery equipment.
Report any delays, incidents, accidents, or issues affecting a delivery immediately.
Maintain professionalism when interacting with hospital representatives, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
Valid Nigerian Motorcycle Rider''s Licence.
Minimum of 2 years'' professional riding experience.
Must be confident and experienced in riding a motorcycle in Lagos traffic.
Must own and be proficient in using an Android smartphone.
Must be physically fit and able to handle blood delivery equipment safely.
Good knowledge of Lagos roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
Strong GPS navigation and technology skills.
Must reside within or close to Onipan, Lagos.
Must be comfortable working with time-sensitive deliveries.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare logistics, medical delivery, or dispatch services.
Experience handling or delivering blood, medical products, or other time-sensitive items.
Basic motorcycle maintenance knowledge.
Experience using dispatch or logistics applications.
