Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Database & System Administration Officer II to support the administration, maintenance, security, and performance of organizational databases and IT systems. The successful candidate will assist in system support, database management, troubleshooting, data security, system monitoring, and ensuring the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of organizational databases and systems.

Provide technical support for database and system-related issues.

Monitor database performance, availability, and resource utilization.

Assist with database backups, recovery procedures, and data restoration.

Support user account management, access controls, and system security measures.

Identify and troubleshoot system, database, and application-related problems.

Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and configuration tasks.

Assist in ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.

Maintain technical documentation, system records, and operational reports.

Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, integrations, and improvements.

Follow organizational IT policies, procedures, and security standards.

Experience

Years of Experience:

2 years’ experience.

Relevant work experience in system support and database administration is a plus.

Education & Certifications

Educational Requirements:

BSc Degree in Computer Science, ICT, IT Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements & Skills

Basic knowledge of database administration and system support.

Understanding of database management systems and data backup procedures.

Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.

Familiarity with database security, user access management, and system monitoring.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT teams.

Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical expertise.
