Job Description

CCP/Ethiopia will conduct the following assessments:

Stakeholder mapping and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) in 15 towns

Youth participant surveys

Enterprise growth assessments

To support these activities, CCP/Ethiopia is recruiting qualified short-term Data Collectors and Field Supervisors for need-based field assignments.

Key Deliverables Data Collectors

Completed surveys/interviews and electronic datasets

KII notes/transcripts, where applicable

Daily field progress reports

Field challenge/incident reports, where applicable

Final individual field report

Roles and Responsibilities

Collect high-quality primary data

Interviews

Conduct interviews/KIIs and administer questionnaires

Sampling

Follow the approved sample

Consent & ethics

Obtain informed consent and follow ethical requirements

Data quality

Check completeness and accuracy of own submissions

Back-checks

Participate when assigned

Troubleshooting

Report field challenges promptly

Daily reporting

Submit individual progress updates

Ensure own assigned work is completed

Qualification Requirements Data Collectors

BA/BSc in Economics, Business Management, Social Sciences, or related fields

At least 3 years of data collection experience

Strong communication and interviewing skills

Ability to communicate effectively in relevant local languages

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage and assure quality of fieldwork

Interviews

Monitor interviews and provide field support

Sampling

Monitor and enforce sampling procedures

Consent & ethics

Ensure team compliance with ethical standards

Data quality

Conduct team-level quality checks and spot-checks

Back-checks

Plan, conduct, and monitor back-checks

Team management

Assign, coordinate, and support field teams

Troubleshooting

Provide first-level problem solving and escalate major issues

Daily reporting

Consolidate team progress and report to CCP/Ethiopia

Performance

Monitor team performance and productivity

Data integrity

Identify and address team-level data integrity risks

Final reporting

Prepare and submit consolidated fieldwork report

Qualification Requirements

Master’s degree in economics, Social Sciences, or related fields

At least 3 years of field supervision experience

Strong team coordination, quality assurance, and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of research ethics and field data quality
