Description
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Construction Foreman to oversee day-to-day site operations for ongoing construction projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising site workers, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, and enforcing safety and quality standards on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Common duties include:
Coordinating daily tasks in accordance with project priorities and plans
Adjusting daily work plans due to weather, delayed supplies, or staffing issues
Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew, members and contractors
Recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and mentoring employees and contractors
Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
Inspecting daily work completed to ensure it aligns with blueprints and schematics
Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
Developing and managing project budgets and quality standards
Regularly reporting project status to supervisors and site engineers
Requirements
HND/B.Sc. in Building Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline
At least 3 years of experience supervising construction activities
CORBON registration
HSE Level 1–3 Certification (or active process)
Strong reading and interpretation of architectural/structural drawings
Leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Proficient in site documentation and reporting
Must be physically fit and willing to work under pressure on fast-paced sites
