About the Job
The
Cashier
is responsible for managing all day-to-day cash transactions, disbursements, petty cash funds, and revenue collections at the coal mine site. this role ensures strict adherence to internal financial controls, manages employee wage disbursements/advances, reconciled daily sales, and maintains accurate daily transaction logs for site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Operations & Management
Receive, disburse, and count daily cash transactions in compliance with corporate financial controls and safety policies.
Manage site
Petty Cash Funds
for daily operational emergency expenses, spare parts, fuel allowances, and localized site purchases.
Maintain strict key/code control over the on-site cash office and high-security vault.
- Wage, Payroll & Staff Disbursements
Facilitate on-site cash salary payments, field allowances, shift incentives, and overtime payouts for mine crew and contractors.
- Daily Reconciliation & Reporting
Perform end-of-day cash balance checks against physical safe balances and log transactions.
Investigate and report any discrepancies or variance to the Site Finance Manager immediately.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports, petty cash summaries, and revenue logs.
About You
Education
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
2–4 years of experience as a Cashier, Accounting Clerk, or Cash Officer, preferably in mining, construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry site environments.
