Job Summary
TotalEnergies Marketing Ethiopia S.C. is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Card & Credit Control Analyst to support our Credit Control and Cards operations. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of card transactions, maintain strong credit controls, and contribute to the company’s overall financial risk management. This position plays a key role in supporting more than 2,400 active customers and maintaining the integrity of card operations within our SAP and Tomcard systems.
Key Responsibilities
Card Operations
Perform daily end-of-day controls in Tomcard to validate transactions and card creations.
Verify all personalized card creations, changes, and services based on approved requests.
Ensure complete and accurate billing for all card-related services.
Review and flag risky or unusual transactions and escalate as needed.
Manage card unblocking requests and ensure proper documentation.
Secure all PIN codes and blank card stock in a controlled, locked environment.
Credit Control & Reporting
Conduct credit analysis for card customers, including prepaid and postpaid accounts.
Ensure timely recording of payments for customized prepaid cards.
Support the Credit Control Manager with monthly accounts receivable analysis, reporting, and action plan preparation.
Track DSO, overdue balances, and unallocated payments.
Analyze delinquent accounts, prepare weekly and monthly exception reports, and monitor waiver requests.
Assist with the assessment and monitoring of credit limits, including DMA (Maximum Authorized Overdraft) reviews.
Pricing & System Updates
Update prices for 163 Network service stations and 600 Non Network customers in the SAP system.
Maintain accurate transport rates, discounts, and distance tables.
Communicate all pricing updates to relevant departments.
Context & Work Environment
Operate within a highly competitive fuel distribution market requiring top-tier customer service, reliability, and innovation.
Navigate a fully regulated national fuel supply environment and a challenging credit landscape.
Maintain strong credit discipline for operations serving over 60 years of customers in Ethiopia.
Required Qualifications
BA degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum of 2 years in accounting roles.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Ability to work under tight and sometimes unexpected deadlines.
Effective cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
Proficiency in SAP (FI & CO), Tomcard or similar card systems, and MS Excel.
