Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and self-motivated Business Development Officer (Credit Sales) to drive loan portfolio growth by identifying and acquiring qualified borrowers, promoting the company’s credit products, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring high-quality loan performance.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new customers for the company’s credit/loan products.
Promote and market loan products to individuals, SMEs, and corporate clients.
Achieve monthly sales and disbursement targets.
Conduct customer profiling and preliminary credit assessments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Follow up on loan applications and coordinate with the credit team to ensure timely processing and disbursement.
Monitor customer loan performance and support collections to minimize delinquency.
Cross-sell other financial products and services offered by the company.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and credit procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
1–3 years’ experience in credit sales/operation in a financial service, organisations (e.g., MFBs, Finance Companies).
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of lending principles and credit processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
