The Role
The boat captain will be responsible for the following:
Safe operation and navigation of the boats
Overseeing the crew
Ensuring compliance with maritime laws
Making all critical decisions regarding the boats’ journey
Prioritizing the safety of passengers, crew, and the boat.
Responsibilities
Safely navigate and operate assigned vessel in accordance with maritime laws and company procedures.
Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, vehicles, and the boat.
Monitor weather conditions and make operational decisions accordingly.
Organizes fuelling of the boat and fills the fuel record paper.
Report incidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately to the marine administrator.
Fills passenger and vehicle record paper after every trip made
Performing other tasks as instructed by the marine administrator.
Requirements
Valid boat captain license/certificate of competency
Minimum 3-5 years'' proven experience operating passenger and/or cargo vessels
Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and navigation procedures
Basic First aid and Fire safety training
Strong leadership and communication skills
bility to make sound decisions under pressure.
Must be able to swim.
