Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to inspire students through engaging, inquiry-based science education. The ideal candidate will foster scientific curiosity, oversee safe laboratory experiments, and prepare students for academic success in the biological sciences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering core concepts such as cellular biology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and anatomy.
Plan, supervise, and direct hands-on laboratory experiments in accordance with standard safety guidelines.
Evaluate student academic progress through assignments, lab reports, examinations, and practical projects.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic needs.
Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment conducive to active learning.
Communicate regularly with parents, department heads, and school administration regarding student growth and performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or Secondary Science Education (Master’s degree preferred).
Licensure:
Valid state/national teaching certification or credential specializing in secondary science.
Experience
2+ years of teaching experience at the secondary school level preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong familiarity with lab equipment, safety protocols, and modern educational tools (LMS platforms, interactive displays).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional classroom management, strong verbal and written communication, and adaptability.
