Job Overview
Help build the chat-based banking assistant customers use to send money, pay bills and manage their accounts. You’ll join a small Lagos team, own features from design to production, and improve both conversational quality and the reliability of money flows.
Responsibilities
Build Node.js chat flows with reliable session state and clear customer messages.
Test intent routing and answers against replay cases; guard model output.
Integrate banking APIs with safe retries, idempotency and reconciliation.
Investigate incidents through logs, SQL, Redis and Linux servers.
Ship unit tests, replay fixtures and security fixes alongside features.
Review code and maintain merge notes and runbooks.
Requirements
4-8 years of experience
4+ years of production Node.js backend development
Express and long-running stateful services
SQL and Redis
Third-party API integration
Transaction idempotency and failure handling
Linux incident response
Clear written communication
Node.js conversational flows and session state
Banking API integration, including REST and SOAP/XML
Payment idempotency and transaction failure handling
LLM intent routing and replay-based evaluation
Deterministic AI output guardrails
SQL production debugging
Redis session-state debugging
Linux and log-based incident investigation

Oracle
