Job Summary
Responsible for managing daily accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and handling statutory tax obligations for a growing and dynamic company operating in the import sector. The role involves processing sales, expenses, receipts, and payments, preparing periodic financial reports, and ensuring proper documentation to support audits and year-end closing using financial software.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting transactions, including sales, expenses, receipts, and payments.
Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and financial documents.
Manage records for VAT, withholding tax, income tax, payroll, pension, and other statutory obligations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Use Peachtree Accounting Software for accounting entries and reporting.
Maintain proper documentation and support audits and year-end closing.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
BA Degree in Accounting from a recognized institution.
Experience
2 to 4 years of relevant experience with a valid experience letter.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong practical knowledge of Peachtree Accounting Software, good Microsoft Excel skills, and strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
