Project Procurement Specialist

About the role?Roha is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the successful development of the Roha Medical Campus in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.?Responsibilities include:? Manage the sourcing, procurement and reconciliation of project equipment and supplies;? Support preparation of budgets, financial models, action and project plans;? Maintain detailed records of procurement plans, analysis, forecasts, and up-to-date status;? Manage and coordinate relationships and communication with suppliers both internally and externally;? Ensure the procurement process meets the company?s ethics and legal requirements and standards;?? Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations and provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation;? Assist and communicate with senior leadership in decision-making related to contracting and purchasing;? Create, prepare, review and edit contracts and nondisclosure agreements, etc;? Negotiate terms and conditions for contracts with suppliers and contractors;? Manage commercial aspect of contracts through their life cycle i.e. variations, payment certificates etc? Develop standards and best practices for sourcing, procuring, contracting and purchasing to meet specific KPIs;? Assist in close out or renewal of contracts;? Take on other tasks and responsibilities as needed to ensure the overall company success;About the candidate?Successful applicants have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, think at a superior intellectual level, are flexible and imaginative, are high-energy, persistent, self-starters, are good communicators in writing and verbally, and will preferably have a proven track record of delivering on complex projects in challenging environments. Applicants could demonstrate this by having:? Bachelors degree in business, engineering, construction management, procurement or supply chain management or other relevant field.? At least 8-10 years work experience in a leading procurement role on large scale industrial, commercial or healthcare project;? Previous experience working for a contractor is a?distinct?plus;? Strong understanding of incoterms;? Strong understanding of local and international sourcing, procurement, and customs regulations;? Excellent and effective communicator, both oral and written, with internal and external stakeholders;? English and Amharic fluency is a must;? Experience working in Ethiopia is a must;
