Overview

As part of our regional expansion across Africa and enhances our global reach, we are building our researchers and consultant roster to connect with top-tier, independent consultants for upcoming, project-based assignments.

We are urgently seeking experienced consultants to support a dynamic program focused on transforming development and humanitarian research across Africa. This program partners with leading organizations to generate evidence, assess outcomes, and strengthen capacities that drive sustainable and inclusive development. Consultants will be engaged on a rolling basis for specialized topics and must be available to start immediately. Selected experts will be invited to partner with us on short-term or project-specific consultancy opportunities as relevant assignments arise.

Youth, Gender, and Social Inclusion (GYSI)

Gender mainstreaming, intersectional analysis, and human rights safeguarding.

Youth Employment & Green Jobs:

Youth-targeted labor market assessments, vocational training design, and green employment pathways.

Indigenous Knowledge Systems:

Integration of traditional community knowledge, cultural frameworks, and localized stakeholder engagement.

Public Health, Nutrition, and Social Protection

Public Health & Nutrition:

Health systems strengthening, epidemiological study design, and nutritional outcome evaluations.

Expected Role & Capabilities

Consultants in our database may be invited to contribute to or lead specific project components, including:

Proposal & Business Development:

Drafting high-quality technical proposals, methodologies, and analytical approaches for donor-funded or institutional bids.

Research & Evaluation:

Designing and executing quantitative and qualitative studies, baseline/endline surveys, impact evaluations, gap assessments, and roadmap development.

Capacity Building:

Developing curriculum materials, preparing technical training modules, and facilitating workshops.

Reporting & Dissemination:

Producing evidence-based, publication-grade analytical reports and policy briefs for international partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (MSc, MA, or PhD) in any of the disciplines listed above.

Minimum of 7 Years Experience in research and Consultancy.

Prior consultancy and advisory research experience

Proven track record in research, consulting, or donor-funded development projects.

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality outputs under deadlines.

Ability to work independently or collaborate within multidisciplinary, cross-regional teams.
